Step right up and kiss the goat

0305 kiss goatW

The Davis High School Future Farmers of America held a “Kiss the Goat” competition last month with the winning teacher awarded the prize of, yes, kissing a goat.

That honor fell to math teacher Jennifer Denton, left, who did indeed kiss a goat during lunch, where she was joined by FFA adviser Ellie Michel, right. Denton and other participating teachers had jars in their classrooms for students to make donations to FFA. Since Denton raised the most money, she got to kiss the goat.

FFA students will hold another fundraiser on April 27 — a drive-through barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. at Davis High, 315 W. 14th St. For more information, contact Michel at emichel@djusd.net.
