Woodland Veterinary Hospital offers free summer classes for kids

By
May 30, 2011 |

Woodland Veterinary Hospital, Pet Hotel & Training Center will once again offer free VSI (Veterinary Science Investigation) classes this summer to local students ages 10 and older.

These classes lay a foundation for basic pet care and give a behind-the-scenes look at a full-service veterinary hospital, pet hotel and training center. Classes will include informational presentations, hands-on activities, a tour of the hospital and pet hotel, and the opportunity to observe procedures that are scheduled for that day.

The content of all classes will be the same, with the only difference being the procedures observed, depending on what is scheduled. All classes are from 9 a.m. to noon. Class dates are June 23, July 7 and 21, Aug. 4 and 18 and Sept. 1.

Pre-registration is required and class size is limited. Call (530) 666-2461 and ask for Pam Duey or email her at pduey@woodlandvethospital.com. Do not assume a spot is reserved with a phone or email message — Duey will need to call or email you back to confirm a spot for your child.

Visit http://www.woodlandvethospital.com for registration forms and more information.
