Seniors can learn about health care directives

The Davis Senior Center will host a presentation for seniors at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday titled “Powers of Attorney and Advance Health Care Directives — Are They the Right Tools For You?”

An attorney from Legal Services of Northern California will talk about planning for incapacity. The talk will include an explanation of the power of attorney and advanced health care directive forms, when the forms are typically used, and the advantages and disadvantages of their use.

The speaker also will discuss the use of physician orders for life-sustaining treatment.
