A golden evening for UFC

University Farm Circle’s recent Centennial Golden Gala brought to a close a wonderful year, filled with special events, meetings, luncheons, programs and this final centennial celebration.
We would like to thank everyone who helped create this event, especially our hard-working committee members: Yvonne Adcock, Janet Collins, Nancy Roe, Barbara Smith-Vaughn, Pat Stromberg, Carlene Ozonoff, Betty Pfeifer and Lani Warren. We also want to thank Loraine Hernandez-Covello, government and community relations, and Elizabeth Paul, public events manager, both at UC Davis, for all of their help in setting up the event.
A special thank-you, too, to Elaine Bell Catering in Napa and event manager Chad Bower for their special consideration and delicious food; to Natalie Klempau and the Knockouts, who provided the delightful dinner music; and to Frank Fox (currently of Frankie and the Fabletones) for his work on our “Dancing Through the Decades” CD.
We also want to thank the many local merchants and UFC and community members who supported the event with wine and other in-kind donations: Ard Aven Winery, Berryessa Gap, Bogle Vineyards. Davis Wine Company, Miramonte Winery, Sundstrom Hill Winery, Turkovich Family Wines, A Grand Affair, Beyond the Garden Gate, Friedman Fotography, Greg and Nancy Lee, Mariani Nut Company, Nugget Markets, Juan Vicondoa Gardening and Maintenance, Steve Collins, Bonnie Lam, Dorothy Benson, Sheila Beyer, Deanna Lee, Norma Reisen, Barbara Smith-Vaughn and Linda Ziskind..
Finally, we want to thank the more than 150 guests who attended the gala — your presence and enthusiasm at this final centennial event made the evening truly one to remember!

Mary Ann Doerzbacher and Deanna Lee
Co-chairs, Centennial Golden Gala Committee
