A little ditty on treason

By
From page A8 | November 12, 2013 |

I submit this as a poem, as it is so apropos to Edward Snowden.

In his last work, “P.S.,” Studs Terkel and the lyricist Yip Harburg are talking; following a much longer rhyme on the same theme, Studs reminds Harburg of these choice four sentences he once wrote:

The truth is so top secret,
It only stands to reason,
That anyone exposing it,
Is culpable of treason.
