A special evening for special kids

By May 24, 2011

We would like to thank the students of Alpha Phi Omega’s Iota Phi Chapter at UC Davis for organizing the annual Dance for Kids (D4K) event, held May 14 at Davis Community Church.

Teenagers with special needs enjoyed a wonderful evening, free of charge, of semi-formal dining, entertaining and dancing. These truly compassionate, altruistic and amazing UC Davis students not only helped teens with special needs, but also warmed their parents’ hearts.

Watching our child interacting, dancing, singing, playing and spending good time with a big crowd of energetic, enthusiastic and friendly youths, a rare but longed-for opportunity for him, made us deeply appreciative and grateful for the kindness and effort of the Alpha Phi Omega members at the event (as hosts, chiefs, servers, companions, emcees, dancing instructors, DJs) and throughout the year (as fundraisers, organizers and volunteers).

Our teens of special needs thank you, we thank you and our community thanks you!
