A yummy taste of Davis

The Davis Odd Fellows Lodge was pleased, once again, to organize and host the 2014 version of A Taste of Davis at our Lodge Hall on April 24. This annual event has become quite the social scene for our community!

More than 300 members of the public crowded into both floors of the Odd Fellows Lodge Hall to enjoy “a taste of Davis.” Twenty-two restaurants, wineries, breweries and dessert houses featured their wares, and guests could sample from all tables. Also, dozens of sponsors from throughout the community helped subsidize the event, including our major sponsor, Hanlees, and super sponsors, The Davis Enterprise, California Vintage Olive Oil and Davis Downtown.

The Taste of Davis 2014 Committee was chaired by Lea Rosenberg and Dody Black. Committee members included Renee Liston, Joyce Puntillo, Christopher Young, Robin Souza, Margie Cabral, Dave Rosenberg, Amanda Maples, Heather Barnes, Jean-Paul Montreuil, Robin Dewey, Raquel Silva, Sheryl Cambron and Bill Grabert.

Also helping out at the event were Jessica Sneeden, Jeff Oblinger and Sheila Bird. The beneficiary of part of the proceeds from the event was Davis Community Meals.

All in all, A Taste of Davis has become a win-win-win event for our town. We look forward to organizing and hosting A Taste of Davis 2015.
