Band Boosters offer thanks
The concert bands of Emerson, Harper and Holmes junior high schools recently held their sixth annual Adjudicated Music Festival. The all-day event was a wonderful opportunity for students to perform before certified judges, receive valuable feedback on their playing and sight reading, and to play with guest conductors. Students also listened to and critiqued other bands.
Many thanks are due to our community: Cenario’s Pizza, Nugget Market and the Davis Food Co-op for their generous food donations; Dan Jones of Jones Custom Photography for providing photographic services at the festival; the wonderful junior high band directors, as well as Fred Lange, Davis High School band director; and, last but not least, the hard work of the parent volunteers who staffed the event.
