Covell Blvd and Eighth Street have bike lanes and were designed for car and bicycle traffic. Fifth Street, from B Street to L Street has no bicycle lanes and was not designed for bicycle traffic. Until it is reconfigured, I highly recommend cyclists to ride on 3rd, 4th or 8th Street between B and L. It’s dangerous for cars and bikes to have bicycle traffic on 5th in that stretch.
