"Avoid riding on busy roads when possible, such as Fifth, Covell or Eighth." ... One of these is not like the other two. Covell Blvd and Eighth Street have bike lanes and were designed for car and bicycle traffic. Fifth Street, from B Street to L Street has no bicycle lanes and was not designed for bicycle traffic. Until it is reconfigured, I highly recommend cyclists to ride on 3rd, 4th or 8th Street between B and L. It's dangerous for cars and bikes to have bicycle traffic on 5th in that stretch.
