The Capitol-to-Capitol trip to Washington, D.C., on May 5-7 was an important regional conversation with our local delegation, key Congressional committees and the leadership of many federal agencies.
These legislators and agencies make critical decisions throughout the year regarding our city and regional economy, security and sustainability. Conversations included flood control, water policies, education, green business, air quality and economic development among others.
Thanks go to our city delegation, led by Councilwoman Rochelle Swanson, for keeping Davis issues at the table during these Washington meetings and in the many regional leadership conversations that took place during the trip.
