Talk about a bait and switch — have you seen the final Crowne Castle antennas? Ugly beyond belief. The pre-construction example we had seen on Burr Street was a whip antenna on top of an existing light pole — not bad.
Somehow along the way, the City Council allowed it to become a monstrosity, an aluminum-colored cylinder from ground up, totally industrial in appearance and completely out of place in a residential neighborhood. They also did a lousy job repairing the sidewalk.
For heavens’ sake, if we can’t force them to go back to the design we were promised, at least paint them dark green (and don’t let them claim it will louse up their signals — it won’t.) And we want our light back.
