Davis teens at their best

By From page A10 | April 04, 2014

Belated but high praise to our Davis teens and staff at Da Vinci Charter Academy for their amazing World War I museum project on March 6.

Any Davisite who missed the magical, excellent presentations missed an opportunity to experience teens at their best: creative, knowledgeable about their topics, well-prepared to answer questions and contagious with enthusiasm while presenting with both sophistication and warmth.

It was a sophomore project, but seemed to be at collegiate level of knowledge/presentation. We were asked to vote for the overall best team project, but they all seemed like first-rate, first-place winners, so we chose all of them.

Kudos also to the staff that encouraged this multi-faceted project (Troy Allen, principal; English teachers Tyler Millsap and Christina Rae; and Scott Bell, social studies).
