Don’t force fluoride on me
Fluoride in Davis water will be in fruit and garden produce, in processing water, all fresh-made drinks, pre-cooked, restaurant and home food, bath water, swimming pool water, ground water from yard care, milk products from fresh milk to cheeses, plus produce of local commercial growers — anything that gets watered, many gallons a day for each cow, and the manure that they produce, put somewhere.
If you want to prevent cavities, cut out the sugar and sticky foods. Kids ingest lots of water in bathtubs, pools, lawn sprinkler play — you can’t measure what each child ingests. I can my fresh fruit using water syrup, have lots of visiting great-grandchildren (19) and feed all who come.
I feel it would be illegal to force fluoridation on Davis residents. If you want it in your water, buy it and add it to your water, but not to mine!
