Sassha: I love to hear from 5th grade drop outs who think they know science. You really ought not direct your crazy theories to me. Direct your quackery to the Centers for Disease Control and all other mainstream public health science bodies, because all of them endorse fluoridation of domestic tap water to promote public health. ……. My question to you is why are you, a man who hates chemistry, so in favor of having our water chlorinated? Why, Sassha? Why are you so afraid to address the chlorination of tap water? Why?!!! ……. Dear Richie:
Didn’t do much homework on fluoride did you?
As a science based person, I have done some research on this subject. You’re so far off base, I ask myself why I’m even bothering to comment, except to add that Ms. Risling’s comment is reflective of not only my own take on this subject, but many other well informed citizens of this city and county.

Barbara, I hope you are sitting down when you read this: Fluoride is already in Davis water. Fluoride is a naturally occurring chemical in almost all fresh water supplies to one degree or another. And unless it is concentrated many times greater than the level which the WAC proposes, it is entirely harmless and will be unnoticeable. ……. If you are worried about chemicals in our water supply–a strange fear in that H2O is a chemical compound–perhaps you might suggest all of the chlorine which is presently being added to your domestic tap water be removed. If that were done, all of your showers and your home grown vegies and so on would be free from a chemical which otherwise does not naturally exist in Davis tap water. Never mind that if chlorine were entirely removed, many Davis residents would get ill (from the pathogens that the chlorine is now killing) and it is likely that some infants and elderly would die. ……. But at least you and the others of the anti-science left could proudly say nonsense like, “If you want chlorine in your water, buy it and add it to your water, but not to mine!” That would make you consistent, and probably a real hero among your crowd of people who fear science.
