Elect Peterson to school board
I have two young kids, a preschooler and a first-grader. Like many families with young children, we are just beginning the journey into the Davis school district.
I have been attending school board meetings for four years, bearing witness to the projections (and the reality) of the district’s cash reserves plummeting to near zero. School board fiscal decisions of today count more than ever in defining how our children will learn tomorrow. Today’s challenges require that we allocate resources to thoughtful long-term planning. To succeed, we need the right leadership in our board of trustees.
I support Nancy Peterson because of her tested commitment to Davis schools. She has a keen understanding of the issues and a goal to manage for the long haul as well as the needs of today. In her many roles, Nancy has a proven record of fighting for the issues that affect all children. With a leadership team that includes Nancy Peterson, DJUSD can wisely navigate these difficult times in a way that promises a solid experience for kids of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
