Federal funds for Davis-Woodland Water Project

By From page B4 | April 28, 2013

According to the EPA, California failed to spend $455 million of federal money meant to improve water infrastructure by giving out loans for public water systems for drinking water improvements.

Our state received $1.5 billion for its Safe Drinking Water State Revolving Fund over the past 15 yeas, but failed to spend a large part of it in a timely manner.

I hope our city officials in charge of the water project will investigate to see if Davis and Woodland can use some of these unused funds to further decrease the costs passed onto our community.
