I hope part of the lesson that teachers were including was that in the matter of public discourse, for instance comments and letters to the editor, that there will always be those who disagree with their premise, and do so with negative comments, both personal and on topic. But that should not dissuade them from seeking out information and bringing it to a public forum for discussion. Keep up the good work, kids and teachers.

This is odious stuff. Who is compelling 11 year olds to write this hooey? Are Democrats and their teacher union lackeys so craven as to provoke pre-teens to write these letters to the local rag, which, for some unknown reason, presumes to publish them? Go ahead, sit down face to face with any of these little stooges and initiate an in depth discussion about any of these topics and the relevant political, economic, and social issues that comprise the background. You won’t get ten cents worth of anything from these children because the have been fed talking points, nothing more. These teachers should be fired…
