Good for economy, community

I have been lucky enough to get out into the Berryessa Snow Mountain region. We were hiking and looking for native plants and birds, and, of course, the views are spectacular! It’s absolutely wonderful to have an area like this close by where you can go to get away from noise and bustle.

I’m excited that U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer shares my love for this special place. She recently introduced legislation to protect the Berryessa Snow Mountain region as a National Conservation Area.

Such protection will ensure that the array of wildlife, rare plants and beautiful scenic vistas can be enjoyed by future generations; it will provide for well-managed recreation opportunities and more user education; and it will bring jobs and visitors to the region year-round.

A Berryessa Snow Mountain National Conservation Area will be good for the economy and our community. I support Sen. Boxer’s efforts to make it a reality.
