Grace in Action says thanks

By May 25, 2011

Grace in Action would like to thank Soroptimist International of Davis for its grant funds. The much-needed grant monies will be used for assistance with transportation and emergency health support for homeless individuals. The club’s generosity is greatly appreciated!

We are immensely grateful to all the volunteers who help us minister (in a variety of ways) to individuals struggling with homelessness. In addition, I would like to thank the Random Acts of Kindness Group at Davis High School for its ongoing provision of birthday cakes each month and Starbucks on Russell Boulevard for its generous donation of baked goods.

We are grateful to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Davis Community Meals and the Interfaith Rotating Winter shelter for their ongoing collaboration in caring for homeless individuals in our community.

A special thanks goes to First Baptist Church for lovingly cleaning and sprucing up Grace House, and David Deffner, musical director of Davis Community Church, for the special concert series fundraiser. Thanks to Doug Houck of Brass Shovel Landscaping for care of our landscape at Grace House.

We are deeply grateful for our direct service volunteers, known as “ministers of hospitality,” who share God’s love through Grace in Action.

All of you are “Grace in Action” as you provide care and compassion for our most vulnerable neighbors. Thank you!

Cindy Burger

Spiritual director, Grace in Action Inc., Davis
