The Davis Food Co-op is hosting the 27th annual Holiday Meal on Dec. 24 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Veterans’ Memorial Center multipurpose room at 203 E. 14th St.
Last year, the Holiday Meal served a full nutritious dinner, free of charge, to more than 800 people. This free and festive dinner for the entire community is a remarkable Davis tradition, and has become an important part of the holiday celebrations of local people from all walks of life. The Holiday Meal is specifically targeted toward low-income people, students, seniors and everyone who wishes to share a meal with other community members.
I appreciate the support we have received in the past from local businesses and individuals. Please help us continue this Davis tradition with your financial donation. Donors will have their names listed in our pre- and post-event advertising, and at the meal.
Because of the present economic situation, there are more people in need and fewer people are able to contribute. Please take a moment to write a check and send it to: Holiday Meal, Davis Food Co-op, 620 G St, Davis. For more information, just call 530-758-2667.
