House of the (near) future

Congratulations to the folks at UC Davis and American Honda Motor Company for creating the energy-efficient house of the “near” future. Many of us in the environmental design fields have been hoping for this kind of self-sufficient, joint development of “electric vehicle-plus-integrated photovoltaic house” for more than a decade. This promises to set a high bar for future green design, and adds teeth to a most important action to combat global warming. Bravo!

And now that I have your attention, Honda: about that too-small-to-matter battery in my hybrid CRZ …
