Davis is a unique and close-knit family community. We treasure our strong school system; countless alumni have chosen to send their children to the same school they attended as children.
Despite the difficult economy and drastic budget cuts, we all do what we can to support our schools, the teachers and their students. Some volunteer by helping in the classroom or sitting on the PTA or other school committees. Some work to fill crucial community roles as employees in their chosen profession.
Whatever path we have chosen, we are each doing our part to support the vibrant community where we have chosen to live.
Of course, we’ve all heard that proverb that “It takes a village to raise a child.” Regardless of what part you usually play in keeping this “village” alive and well, right now the community needs your “yes” vote for Measure C. Your vote must be counted by Tuesday at 8 p.m., so deliver your ballot to the Stephens Branch Library, 315 E. 14th St. (You can only do this during operating hours since the ballot box is inside.)
Help keep the tradition of a strong Davis community and school system alive by continuing this crucial support!
