It was YCCC, not CWC
Oh, with all those C’s, it is not surprising that CWC got mixed up with YCCC in that wonderful article Bev Sykes wrote about my book, “It’s an Ill Wind, Indeed…” However, I’m thinking it would be a disservice to all those who have worked tirelessly to make Citizens Who Care the invaluable program it is, if I were to let the credit for the co-founding of that program stand.
In fact, I’ve never had anything to do with CWC except for a very occasional donation. I was a founding board member of Yolo Community Care Continuum (www.y3c.org/aboutus) and the non-profit Friends of Allied Nonprofits and All Things Right & Relevant (www.rrconsignments.org).
It was with great pleasure that I wrote about their beginnings in the book. I smile to know they are both alive and well. As is the Davis Enterprise with its new local focus. Thank you.
