The International House will hold a panel discussion on Libya on Thursday, June 16, at 7 p.m. in the community room. I-House is at 10 College Park.

The title will be “From Oppression to Revolution — Libya’s Freedom is Near.” The speakers were born and raised in Libya: 1) Abdalla Bassiouni, who has engineering degrees from Northeastern and Boston universities and works as information technology manager for Hewlett Packard; 2) Fathi Sikta, who has Ph.D. in electronic engineering from Ohio State University and is the president and chief technology officer of I Scan Services Corp. and a part-time faculty member at Sacramento State University; and 3) Giumaa Shawesh, who has a master’s degree from the University of Arizona.

Giumaa has just returned from Libya after more than 30 years of living in United States. He will share his observations about his recent trip to Libya.

Admission is free and everyone is invited. Refreshment will be served.
