Let spiders inspire your poetry

By From page A6 | April 19, 2013

In celebration of National Poetry Month, which has been held every April since it was inaugurated by the Academy of American Poets in 1996, perhaps Davisites (and others) might try their hands at spidery poems?

Explorit Science Center has a Spiders In Our World project now in its second year and has an ongoing invitation to members of our wider community to write poem and stories about spiders for publication on the Explorit website at www.explorit.org/csp/wow. WoW stands for Web of Words and it would be exciting to see the collection of creative entries grow.

The invitation is for all ages of kids, youth and adults and there are some great examples already uploaded for all to read.
