Would it be possible for the city and PG&E to cooperate in cleaning up the walkway on the south side of Fifth Street between Pole Line Road and L Street? Among the debris and weeds is a robust crop of winter and spring wheat, sadly beyond harvest. Not only is the walkway an eyesore, but also a hazard for walkers and bike riders.
In addition, I voted “yes” on the city sales tax in hopes that the city would have the funds and thereby the means to do weed abatement. However, in the parks, walkways and greenbelts where I walk in East and South Davis, I see only more and more weeds. What gives?
