I’m a low-income homeowner in Davis and I remember when the water meters were installed. We were going to be billed until they were paid off — but now we just keep paying for them? (Did they lie to me?)
We do not have to do anything to improve our water. Did you get a call from Lois Wolk, Dan Wolk’s mom ? She supports Measure I. What happened to her being a champion of the Sacramento River delta?
Here are a few more reasons to vote no on Measure I:
* Most Davis residents can’t afford this water deal.
* Why triple the water bill when it isn’t necessary?
* Remember that UC Davis was part of the agreement? Not now, because UCD doesn’t need river water. Neither do we. The deep aquifer supplies adequate water. Don’t spend the money (at least not yet).
* Let’s get back to the money. If Davis is having revenue problems, then why is it making it worse with Measure I ? It is wrong to dig this city deeper into debt.
These are enough reasons to vote no on Measure I.
