Lovenburg: experience, integrity

Susan Lovenburg is exactly the kind of person we need on the Davis school board heading into continued challenging times for our school district.

Susan does her homework and is one of the most thorough people I know when it comes to doing research on an issue. Susan has a detailed understanding of the complicated ways in which schools are funded, and she knows how to see the big picture to benefit our school district.

I met Susan when we were parent volunteers at Willett Elementary. I like that Susan has children who have been at every level of education in our district — elementary, junior high and senior high — because this gives her good insights into the nuances of how each type of school functions.

Susan ran for school board in 2007 and won with the most votes in that race. She has been a dedicated trustee who has operated with personal integrity and respect for others.

With a calm, measured approach, Susan has listened to teachers, parents and community members as they share thoughts on the challenges and opportunities on the horizon for Davis schools.

Susan cares deeply about public education and a fair shake for every DJUSD student.

Please join me in voting for Susan Lovenburg for Davis school board trustee. I am also supporting Nancy Peterson for school board, and voting yes on Measure E and Yes on 30 to preserve school funding.
