Lovenburg gets an A-plus

By From page A6 | October 31, 2012

As teachers, we know that we cannot always agree 100 percent with everything the school board decides. They must take a wide view of the school district. We do, however, expect our board members to listen, do their homework, ask good questions, think and make up their minds — similar to our student expectations, in fact.

Susan Lovenburg meets those criteria with an A-plus. Her consistently thoughtful and probing questions, her research and her desire to further educate herself impress us. For example, she completed the California School Boards Association Masters in Governance Program last year.

Most of all, she meets our most important criterion. Susan really cares about the educational experience of each child in the Davis schools. In fact, Susan cares about people in particular and in general, as her numerous volunteer responsibilities such as those with Yolo CASA and California Forward show.

For courageous, compassionate, informed and experienced leadership on the school board, we say cast your vote for Susan Lovenburg.
