This is the time of year when we reflect on and give thanks for all the good will that touched us during the past year, that we were fortunate to receive.
Yolo Military Families has much to be grateful for. Our “Hugs From Home” packages have made their way to our deployed service members halfway around the world. They were filled with necessities, and a little entertainment. Mostly they transported messages of love and support, including thousands of cards made by individuals, scouts, schoolchildren and churches. The boxes were packed by our members and volunteers from the community.
A huge thank-you goes out to those individuals whom we were unable to send a personal thank-you. You dropped off supplies at our collection locations, donated cash and attended our Veterans Day fundraiser. Service organizations made donations or sponsored fundraisers. Business donated their locations for collections, others donated raffle and door prizes. All of this was done to help us spread the word. We thank them for their support. Without this support, we would not have been able to send our support to those who watch over us.
Our community is generous. We are grateful to be included on the long list of wonderful organizations that need community support to fulfill their goals.
