Peace vigil marks 11 years

By
From page A6 | December 12, 2012 |

Saturday marked the 11th anniversary of the peace vigil in downtown Davis. We began our presence on G Street between Second and Third streets, also known as the G Street Plaza. We moved to the southeast corner of Fifth and B streets a few years go.

Our intention is to remind our friends and neighbors that war is not the answer to conflict, that “there is no way to peace; peace is the way.” While we do not know what effect our witness has, we know that we offer a space for thinking about alternatives to war.

We invite everyone to stand with us from 11 a.m. to noon every Saturday at Fifth and B streets. For further information, call 530-756-6881.
