Well, it is that time of year again. The Marines have been out and about placing their collection barrels and boxes for Toys for Tots at various places in Davis.

The Marine Corps League of Yolo County collects and distributes the donated toys to unfortunate children of Yolo County each year on the Saturday before the Christmas holiday. Please help us to make a child’s Christmas special this year by purchasing a new toy and placing it, unwrapped, in one of our barrels at the following locations in Davis:

City Hall, 23 Russell Blvd.; Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.; Nugget Market, 1414 E. Covell Blvd. and 409 Mace Blvd.; CVS/pharmacy, 1550 E. Covell Blvd.; Atria Covell Gardens, 1111 Alvarado Ave.; Sudwerk, 2001 Second St.; Peak Performance, 2795 Second St.; Center City Automotive, 300 Madson Place; Yolo Federal Credit Union, Fifth and G streets; Davis Police Department, 2600 Fifth St.; Hanlees Toyota, 4202 Chiles Road; and The Arbors Apartments, 1280 Olive Drive.

The Yolo County Marine Corps League thanks you in advance for your participation and help toward the success of the Toys for Tots program. The barrels will be picked up Dec. 18. Please donate early!
