We were shocked and dismayed to hear about the brutal attack of one of our former students, Larry Partida. We remember Larry as being a sweet, gentle soul who brightened our days. Larry had a kind nature and always greeted others with a warm smile. His parents and siblings were all respectful, supportive and friendly.
We are ashamed that this incident happened in Davis. We will continue our efforts to teach children about the damaging effects of hate and bullying.
As members of the Davis community, we hope to instill respect for others and acceptance of individual differences, regardless of race, sexual orientation or religious preferences.
The Davis Co-op has pledged to match up to the first $1,000 in donations made for Larry’s recovery. Please join us in donating to Larry and to renew a commitment to zero tolerance in our community.
