Please keep the nursery open

By From page A6 | April 18, 2014

My name is Almony and I have been in Yolo County for less than a year. I am a single mother of a 10-month-old baby girl. I am low-income and have been in situations where I needed the Yolo Crisis Nursery, whether it was for clothes or respite care for a few hours.

The crisis nursery is such a blessing to so many people, and I am heartbroken that it may be closing. I am asking from the bottom of my heart that you do everything in your power to keep it open, because without it, it’s taken away from our children and, most of all, it puts some parents in rough situations.

I am a strong believer that it takes a village to raise a child, so please just keep in mind that the kids need the crisis nursery.
