Please return kindergarten table

By From page B3 | March 27, 2013

Each day, kindergartners at Willett Elementary School have a snack. It’s a time of healthy nutrition and emotional bonding between students. They all sit together and learn their manners and how to share food with one another. They get to take a break from a hectic schedule and learn to listen and have a conversation with a peer. The most basic of life skills are being learned and reinforced each day.

We now have 31 students in our kindergarten classes and, due to the increase in class size, Willett had to purchase a new table to be able to accommodate all of the kids. In a time of limited site funds, this table was a major expense of $850.

Last Thursday night, someone stole our table from inside the kindergarten yard. What most likely started as a silly prank has real-world consequences. Snack time isn’t the same without it. Please return our table! If you have any information, please call the Willett school office at 530-757-5460.
