Re-elect Lovenburg to board

Please join me in voting to re-elect Susan Lovenburg to the Davis school board. Throughout her current term, Susan has fulfilled her responsibilities as a board member with an exemplary commitment to the students, families, teachers and staff whot make up our school community.

She listens to everyone so that her decisions reflect a full understanding of the different needs and values that must be taken into account to reach fair and effective decisions. She studies the issues and does the hard work necessary to understand and resolve the complex problems the board has confronted over the last four years and will continue to confront in the future.

Susan understands that school board members must be able to work together to reach difficult decisions. But she also recognizes the importance of each board member bringing his or her own perspective to the matter at hand. Her independence in approaching issues helps to guarantee that the board will consider the full range of concerns, alternatives and costs before reaching decisions. And it will ensure that all of the varied voices in our community will have an opportunity to be heard.

I endorse Susan Lovenburg for election to the school board for a second term.
