Rotarians present movies in park
The Sunset Rotary Club wishes to thank everyone that helped make Movies in the Park on Sept. 24 such a great success! The popular event entertained more than 250 people who enjoyed “Toy Story” on the big screen while munching freshly popped popcorn and indulging in cotton candy spun right before their eyes.
The treats, made available by the Sunset Rotary Club, added a “theater” experience to the outdoor venue. And Charlie Swanson, co-owner of Our House restaurant, provided carnitas for all who wanted a dining experience.
This evening is free to the public, but would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors: Brooks Painting, Brown Construction, Cara Mengali of Comstock Mortgage, First Northern Bank, Our House Restaurant & Lounge, Steve Boschken and Johnny Brooks of Coldwell Banker, Swim America and University Honda.
The Sunset Rotary Club would like to thank the city of Davis for successfully assisting and supporting this collaborative event.
Be sure to mark your calendar for the final movie in the series, “Harry Potter,” on Saturday. Movies are free and are presented in Central Park at sundown. See you all there!
