Rotary raffle raised $70,900

Another year proves to be another success for the annual Davis Rotary youth group raffle. Total monies raised came to $70,900 and the youth groups that participate get 100 percent of what they raised. A total of 30 local groups participated. There were six prizes and winners as follows:

* Grand prize: A seven-night, eight-day vacation to Hawaii, donated by Rotarian Becky King, and $1,000 for two round-trip airline tickets donated by Rotary Club of Davis, won by Jennifer Terra of Davis;
* First price: A $250 gift certificate to Davis Ace Hardware, donated by Jennifer Anderson, won by Carlos DeLaCruz of Davis;
* Second prize: A tandem skydive donated by SkyDance SkyDiving, won by Amber Williams of Sacramento;
* Third prize: Two series tickets to the Mondavi Center, donated by the Mondavi Center, won by John McGahan of Davis;
* Fourth prize: A birthday party for eight donated by Rocknasium, won by Nancy Ostrum of Davis; and
* Fifth prize: A $75 gift certificate to Paesano’s donated by Heather Copeland-State Farm Insurance, won by Laurie Botting of Davis.
