Safer crossing of Anderson Road

By From page A6 | February 12, 2014

The Oeste Manor Neighborhood Association would like to thank the city of Davis for the new pedestrian-activated crosswalk installed on Anderson Road at Amherst Drive. This crosswalk provides a major safety improvement to our neighborhood and particularly students traveling to Chávez and Willett elementary schools and Emerson Junior High School.

We especially recognize the efforts of Roxanne Namazi, senior civil engineer; Stacey Winton, community partnership coordinator; and City Council members Brett Lee and Dan Wolk: All were instrumental in working with and responding to the persistent concerns of our neighborhood over a period of years, including finding funding sources to make this needed safety improvement.
