YOLO COUNTY NEWS
99 CENTS

She has talent and temperament

All of the lawyers in this firm — Gardner, Janes, Nakken, Hugo & Nolan — urge your support for the election of Janene Beronio for judge of the Yolo County Superior Court. We need to retain experienced judges in our Yolo County courts. Commissioner Beronio has performed judicial duties for Yolo County for more than 25 years.

Every work day of her legal career, Beronio has worn the judicial black robe, sat on a Yolo County judicial bench and fairly adjudicated cases. Over the past 25 years, she has excellently performed the job of a judge and she has improved the lives of thousands of people.

Beronio was appointed commissioner by the Yolo County judges and has virtually the same powers and duties as the judges either by law or by agreement. As a Superior Court commissioner, she has performed nearly every judicial assignment.

We lawyers have seen the commissioner in action. She has proved to the lawyers of our firm that she has the skill, temperament and experience to be a Yolo Superior Court judge.

Prior to taking the bench, Beronio served for nine years at the Yolo County District Attorney’s Office. She has invaluable jury trial experience from her time there as a prosecutor. She was a member of the felony trial team and supervised both the Davis and Broderick branch offices for the district attorney.

When Judge Steve Mock announced his intention to retire, all of the judges of Yolo County (including Mock) asked Beronio to run for his seat because they know she has the right experience, temperament and talent. The judges have unanimously endorsed her as have many of the elected officials and leading lawyers of Yolo County and the surrounding regions.

Supporting Janene Beronio will help ensure that we have a high-quality bench in Yolo County. The quality of our judges is of tremendous importance, and the best way to ensure high quality is to elect those who have shown themselves capable of performing the difficult job of judging.

We urge your vote for Janene Beronio for Superior Court judge of Yolo County.
