Please sign the referendum petition to put water rate increases on the ballot and give all Davis voters a chance to vote on this issue. You can sign the petition to protest at any local grocery store, or at the post office.
Nearly 5,000 property owners rejected the rate increases last month, but the City Council thumbed their collective noses at citizens in a demeaning display of arrogance and control, and refused to even allow us “pawns” (who would be saddled with the costs) to even have a vote on this massive project.
Please find and sign a water rates petition as soon as possible. We need as many signatures as possible by Oct. 24.
If you would like to sign a petition, or circulate petitions in your neighborhood, please contact me at (530) 753-2703 or Pam Nieberg at (530) 756-6856 or [email protected]
This is not a game. It is serious business.
Unless we stop the council now, our water rates will double or even quadruple. Our only chance is to sign the referendum petition, and force a citizens vote.
