My apologies to all who bought tickets, tried to buy tickets or came to the door and found that DMTC had cancelled the event. Thank you so much for your interest.
For those who remain interested, it will be delivered. As much certainty that life allows, I can say it will be available through Davis Media Access before summer. The DMA staff support of the stated goals that launched this project has not waned. Taping is scheduled and this version will include Titanic Memorial Cruise highlights and elements of my grandfather’s letter. Please look for it in their up-coming programming announcements.
As hosts, the Davis Senior Center is truly varsity! In perfect measure, the staff and the audience was supportive and affirming. My intention to share the DSC April 3 program with a few Titanic friends on-board the Asamara Journey turned into official ship-wide offering. The response was inspiring. My cruise reflections and elements from the Anton Kink letter are integrated into the soon-to-be taped program.
My mother and I share more than likenesses of style, humor and beauty. She found herself to be a celebrity by historical accident. When asked, she did her best to stand as a Titanic eye-witness and a survivor. Like her, by fortune of birth, I now stand as a willing witness. Again, thank you for your interest in my family’s story.

daughter of Louise Kink Pope — a Titanic survivor
