I know there are probably many small towns that compare to Davis, or maybe not, but we at the Short-Term Emergency Aid Committee want to acknowledge to the community one of the main reasons we are able to keep our food closet open 12 months every year, because of all the food drives and donations.

Thank you to the members of Congregation Bet Haverim who every year, during their observance of Yom Kippur, have a food drive that is usually the single biggest donation we receive that year.

Thanks to the Davis Food Co-op management and staff for their recent Canned Fort event; the Co-op is also first in line this year to adopt families for the STEAC Holiday Program, they have committed to adopting 25 families and more if we need them to.

Thanks to management and the wonderful vendors of the Davis Farmers Market, who donated weekly the fresh produce that has been such a benefit to our clients.

Thanks to the Village Harvest, who have made STEAC their primary recipient of all the local fruit and vegetables that their members work so hard to harvest.

Thanks to the Episcopal Church of St. Martin, which has donated food weekly to STEAC for many, many years.

And finally, thank you to all of you who have donated food and funds to make the STEAC food closet the absolute very best in Northern California. At least that’s how the board and volunteers of STEAC feel.
