Support a teen entrepreneur

By From page A6 | June 18, 2014

My name is Benjamin Hoffner-Brodsky. I am a local 14-year-old with a passion for business. This summer I will be attending Camp BizSmart, a two-week business academy held over the summer at Stanford that offers a place for young entrepreneurs like myself to learn the tools of the trade to be successful in the business marketplace.

This year’s program will be of special interest to Davis residents because the focus is on bicycle technology. I will work with representatives from Revolight, a company co-founded by a UC Davis graduate that engineers revolutionary bike lights, and Vintage Electric, one of the leaders in the bicycle motorcycle fusion market. We will create a new product that everyone who bikes can use and love. With the assistance of Microsoft and Cisco employees, we will market our idea to venture capitalists from Silicon Valley and compete against other teams for the best product.

Unfortunately, this program is very expensive, which is why I have turned to fundraising. As of this article, I have raised $2,362 of the $3,800 required to stay on campus. Please help me to do this by supporting my campaign. You can find my fundraising page by googling “Benjamin Hoffner-Brodsky” and “Piggybackr.” Thank you for your support.
