Support Mermaids Sushi, too

By From page A6 | November 14, 2012

I was delighted to hear about Friday’s “cash mob” at the G Street Shopping Center but was disappointed that some businesses were left out of the article on the subject. In addition to Ken’s Bike & Ski, Monticello Seasonal Cuisine and the Davis Food Co-op, there is also another local business named Mermaid Sushi located inside the Co-op itself.

Located in the deli section of the Co-op, Mermaid Sushi is independently owned and operated by local residents who offer sustainable sushi options at competitive prices (they are actually cheaper then Whole Foods’ non-sustainable sushi).

This is the only sushi I know of that actually posts the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch list for their customers which I greatly appreciate. So if you’re in the Co-op, please support their enterprise as well.
