Our president and the Democratic Senate are willing to give the GOP their cuts, but not Planned Parenthood and the EPA, along with other organizations who enforce our rights. We all want to cut the budget, but none of us wants to breathe foul air or be forced to produce unwanted children.

The president cannot allow this.

Coming soon: The GOP also wants to allow FICA to be taken from our checks, but instead of going to the government for our Social Security, our dollars will be given to Wall Street. This, and nothing else, is privatization. Our taxes going to Medicare also will be given to greedy insurance companies and Wall Street to gamble with.

Whom do you trust more with your tax dollars — the government or Wall Street?

None of us wishes to become a wage slave. But that is what will happen if the GOP is allowed to break unions, repeal child labor laws and repeal minimum wage. These protective laws and wage-protective unions are being undone by GOP governors and will become federal if the Greedy Old Party is ever allowed to take over the Senate and White House.

A genuine budget should reduce defense spending — the biggest and most wasteful portion of our budget. A genuine budget would close tax loopholes commonly used by the corporate wealthy, and charge a 70 percent tax on corporations who move jobs overseas.

Don’t help the GOP with its agenda by remaining silent. Please support our president and Democratic Senate.
