I have had the privilege of serving as a board member of Yolo County CASA alongside Susan Lovenburg for the past three years. CASA trains and supports community members to serve as mentors and advocates for youth in the foster care system. Susan joined the board during a difficult time for the organization and contributed her tremendous talents and experience to help put CASA on a better path.
With her focus on accountability, integrity and fiscal transparency, Susan participated in bringing in new leadership and restoring the organization to financial health.
Susan’s dedication to CASA, an organization that serves the most vulnerable children in our community, is not only indicative of her character, but also demonstrates her commitment to all students in Davis.
During the past five years, Susan has brought these same qualities to her work on the school board. She has proved herself to be a respectful listener, a deep thinker and a leader who seeks consensus.
Susan deserves our vote on Nov. 6!
