99 CENTS

Thank you, Cathy Farman

On May 1, Cathy Farman presided over her last PTA meeting at Davis High School as president and will be moving on, as will her youngest child. Although I clapped at the end of the meeting, I feel I should have said some words.

Cathy has been a PTA office holder and active Davis parent for more than 15 years, putting in many hours each week to represent our generation of parents at the elementary, junior high and high school. Under her gentle, organized leadership, good things often happened for our community of students, teachers, parents and administrators.

I don’t know what she is most proud of, but what I will remember is the good working relationship she had with our administrators and how often I felt that the volunteering we did and the money we distributed helped. I certainly feel that my children’s school experience has been better because of her efforts.

Thank you, Cathy.
