I would like to thank the two young women who found my wallet and returned to me. It apparently fell out of my pocket while I was riding my bike across Fifth Street one evening earlier this week. Judging from its condition and their story, it was run over by traffic that scattered the contents.
These two young women took the time to stop, rescue my wallet and contents and deliver it to my door within minutes of my discovering that it was gone. Their random act of selflessness saved much heartache and hassle as well as preventing many possible negatives.
In my excitement, I thanked them repeatedly but by the time I thought to ask their names and offer some token of appreciation, they were gone, I assume to do more random good deeds.
Despite the barrage of information, much of it negative, in our age, I am continually amazed by the good offered freely that exists everywhere and exemplified this week by these two young people.
