I’ve had occasion to be grateful for the kindness of strangers many times over the past weeks, and I’d like to offer up my thanks publicly.
My dad has been dealing with a health crisis, and recently took two falls within 15 minutes of each other. The first occurred in the parking lot of Grocery Outlet, and I’d like to thank the manager of that store and his staff, along with two men in the parking lot, all of whom rushed to our aid. I didn’t get your names, but you really came to our rescue.
The second occurred just as we were trying to get him into the house, and our local paramedics could not have been kinder when we called for help. Again, we were aided by two Good Samaritans whose names I did not get. Davis firefighters also responded to a lift assist call again recently, and demonstrated incredible compassion for my parents.
Finally, to Dr. David Posner, Dr. Michael Palchak, Nurse Practitioner Burke Smith and the staff at Sutter Davis Hospital, I thank you for the excellent care you’re providing my father, and for your responsiveness to my million questions.
It takes a village!
